Argentina/Spain
Transfer: Loan ended (was at Bayer Leverkusen last season)
Buendía has not reached the levels expected after his move from Norwich in 2021. He has come off the bench in the first two matches, rotating with Guessand, which suggests he will have a role. He was also added to the Europa League squad. There is heavy competition for minutes with Malen, Guessand, Rogers, Sancho and others, so he is not worth picking up right now. Villa have not started strongly, so if someone performs well, they could quickly earn more minutes. One to monitor.

Harvey Elliott (M)
England
Transfer: Loan with option from Liverpool (10 appearances triggers a deal around €30m)
Elliott was player of the tournament at the U21 European Championships this summer. Highly rated at Liverpool but unlikely to get minutes there. He is a strong dribbler with high upside, though injury concerns and end product remain issues. He should be owned in most leagues.

Evann Guessand (F - Fantrax, M - FPL)
Ivory Coast/France
Transfer: €30.00m from OGC Nice
Guessand had 12 goals and 8 assists in Ligue 1 last season and can play across the front line. High potential, but like Buendía, faces heavy competition for minutes. This is a wait and see situation but he could become a league winner. Worth a bench spot if you can afford to be patient.

Victor Lindelöf (D)
Sweden
Transfer: Free transfer from Manchester United
Lindelöf is likely the fourth-choice center-back. Not worth picking up, even with potential injuries.

Marco Bizot (G)
Netherlands
Transfer: €500k from Stade Brestois 29
Bizot has started two matches this season, performing very well in one and poorly in the other. At 34, he is likely the backup to Martinez. If you own Martinez, he could be worth holding as insurance. Otherwise, avoid.

Transfer: Loan from Manchester United
Sancho has struggled to replicate his Dortmund form since his €85m move. His production dropped significantly at Manchester United and Chelsea. However, he has still been a strong Fantrax asset in multiple seasons. There is significant competition for minutes, but he is worth a bench spot to see how Villa use him.
