Haaland tops it at 16.42 projected points, but Bruno Fernandes has the highest floor at 11.35 against Haaland’s 5.49.
Where did these rankings come from?
Every number comes from a projection model, not from a take. It reads six seasons of match data, this week’s fixture, and the predicted lineups, and it produces one number per player: expected Fantrax points for this gameweek. The board is then sorted by that number, highest first. Last season, these rankings beat Fantrax’s own rankings on several metrics. That model then went through 30 new versions over the summer to create the one you see today.
There is no adjustment on top, which is deliberate. The order you see is the order the model produced, so if you disagree with a player you are disagreeing with something you can inspect rather than with my mood on a Friday. One drawback of the model is new player rankings (hence Vuskovic at 109). New transfers across leagues are often unpredictable.
The model runs on Fantrax standard scoring. Turn on multi-position and every dual-eligible player gets a button per slot. It opens on the position with the highest proj fpts (usually D>M>F).

Opp - this week’s opponent, with @ for away
Role - what the player actually does on the pitch, from ball winner to advanced playmaker (cluster driven)
SP - set piece duty and his order at the club, so C1F2P1 is first-choice corners, second free kicks, first penalties
Proj FPts and the rank, for all 545 players
Floor and Ceiling - the middle half of his likely gameweek, so a steady 8 reads differently from a coin-flip 8
6+, 10+, 15+ and 20+ - chance of clearing each score this week, for the players in the predicted XI
Own% - how many Fantrax leagues roster him
FX Proj, FX # and FX Pos# - Fantrax’s own projection and where it ranks him overall and at his position
The predicted starting elevens are in bold. The other 344 players are projected for a bench appearance and shown muted, so a low number reads as “he is a substitute” rather than as “the model hates him”.
